Peak Open Water Sports is a premier outdoor sports company with a coached swimming and watersports community operating across Norfolk and Suffolk. With a base and central ‘hub’ within a new £6.2m building on Lowestoft Beach, Peak Open Water Sports also operates across a diverse network of five distinct venues. Activities are available for the whole family and on offer all year round, to encourage more opportunities for all ages and abilities to be more active, safe in outdoor spaces/water and enjoy the benefits of health and fitness in the community. Health and Wellbeing is a huge focus across the activity offer, which also includes Sports Massage Treatments, Yoga, Breathwork, Beach Bootcamp, Running Club and various Strength and Conditioning classes.

We stock our very own range of clothing including t-shirts, hoodies, caps, beanies, changing robes plus much more. We work in partnership with Huckson Tri to bring you the best quality, durable and eco-friendly materials to keep you warm and fresh during those sea soaking days! We also stock a range of swimming and watersports equipment kit in partnership with Zoggs – including surf and open water swimming wetsuits, tow floats, beach shoes, swimming costumes, goggles, hats, towels and so much more.

Water Safety Eduction
We pride ourselves on the best water safety education for all by ensuring all members of staff are experienced lifeguards, instructors and coaches. We demonstrate this throughout all of our activities and lead every water-based session with a safety demo, information about environmental risks, tides, currents, and temperatures. We also offer activities such as Sea Cadets and water safety talks on the beach and in schools, where we teach juniors and adults how to enjoy water-based activities safely and effectively.

Founded by Nicola Butler, herself an experienced athlete, trainer and coach and founder of Peak Fitness and Training, we are about creating a community where everyone can safely swim and participate in a range of outdoor sports & activities, whether you are a recreational sports person, wild swimmer/dipper, or looking to try something new, we can cater for you!

About Nicola
My passion for sport, health and fitness began from a very young age. From learning to swim in the ocean at the age of four, to currently competing at elite level for GB age group in Tag Rugby and Cross Triathlon – I have developed my sporting knowledge from a range of experiences, competitions, education and employment. As a result, I created Peak Fitness and Training to continue my passion for sport within my own company.
I always endeavour to support individuals and groups in all areas of their performance needs alongside sports clubs in developing the future stars of tomorrow. Now I have decided to create a separate company with an amazing team of qualified coaches and lifeguards focusing on the open water side of sports and have been lucky enough to secure some fantastic locations for everyone to enjoy safe open water swimming on a daily basis.
